Brittany Cloyd

Teaching Artist: pastels, watercolor paints, acrylic paints, recycled materials and mixed media
Brief info

Brittany is a former teacher in the Edmonds School District in all grades K-12. She has over 15 years of experience teaching Latin, art, science, history, speech, geography and English language arts. Whether it is sketching magnified versions of tiny shells to see the incredible details in nature or creating fibulae out of wire to experience the daily lives of the ancient Romans, Brittany loves to watch those magical lightbulb moments as students better understand their world through art! She also uses art history as a way to foster discussions with her students about historical world events, understand another person’s point of view, and broaden student vocabulary and communication skills.
