A lifelong educator and artist, Sharon Gold has been teaching art for over 50 years. A graduate of the University of Washington in Art Education with postgraduate studies in Graphic Design, she brings a deep understanding of both traditional and contemporary art practices. For 22 years, Sharon developed and taught K–8 art curriculum at Maplewood, where her four children also attended. She also created and directed a successful before- and after-school art program serving all grade levels.
Her teaching explores a wide range of media, including drawing, pastel, chalk, sculpture, clay, design, recycled materials, collage, and printmaking. Sharon’s passion lies in helping students discover their own creative voice through exploration, craftsmanship, and joyful experimentation.
