Spark Youth Arts Council
The Spark Youth Arts Council is a leadership and creativity group for middle and high school students who want a real voice in the arts. Council members meet 1–2 times per month to share honest feedback, help shape Spark’s programs, and imagine new arts opportunities for their schools and communities.
Rather than being just another class, the Youth Arts Council is a youth-led advisory and leadership body. Young people learn how arts programs and organizations are built, discuss how art connects to their lives and world, and co-create projects alongside Spark staff and mentors.
The Council is launching as a pilot, which means early members will help design what it becomes — from meeting formats to projects and roles. Participation is free and open to middle and high school youth in the Edmonds area who are curious about art, community, and social change. No specific art background is required.
