Whistles & Wonders: Ceramic Togepi Whistle Workshop
Unleash your creativity at Stranded by the Sea in Edmonds, WA! In this hands-on, 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll craft your very own Togepi-inspired ceramic whistle—based on the adorable Pokémon character. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced artist, you’ll learn the basics of ceramic shaping, glazing, and create a functional piece of art that sings! Perfect for ages 8-16, this workshop is fun for everyone, no experience required!
Join us for a creative and fun-filled summer art camp at Artworks Edmonds! From August 11-14, young artists (ages 10-14) will dive into hands-on art projects that foster self-expression, build leadership skills, and offer a glimpse into cultural art traditions. With a small class size of 10-12, this camp provides individualized attention as participants explore the exciting world of paper clay, mobile-making, salt painting, and creating positive affirmation cards.

Whimsical Creations: Artistic Exploration Across Cultures
Camp highlights include:
- Paperclay Mobile Making (3 hours): Students will craft unique paperclay pieces to create custom elements for their very own mobile. Inspired by artist Alexander Calder, known for his inventive mobiles, students will explore movement and balance as they design their creations.
- Mobile-Making Class (3 hours): Students will assemble their paperclay pieces into a stunning hanging mobile, inspired by Calder’s playful, kinetic sculptures.
- Salt Painting Class (2 hours): Students will learn the beautiful technique of salt painting and explore Japanese symbols and words. This class not only sparks creativity but also introduces the rich tradition of Japanese art, encouraging students to create their own meaningful designs.
- Positive Affirmation Cards (3 hours): Students will design personalized affirmation cards to inspire positivity and self-expression in their everyday lives.
